HELP WANTED - PREVENTION SPECIALIST

DICKENSON COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES is currently receiving applications for the following FULL TIME position: PREVENTION SPECIALIST. The Prevention Specialist is responsible for providing programs in the schools and the community to help prevent substance use and mental health problems. The Prevention Specialist works alongside the Prevention Coordinator in program development as well as delivering training in classes such as Mental Health First Aide, Narcan usage, bullying prevention, etc. Worthwhile projects the Prevention team also work together on include the yearly after prom party, the Christmas Angel program and a Dickenson County Teachers Resource Conference. Public speaking ability is an absolute must. Overnight travel occurs throughout the year.
Minimum requirement would be a Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Human Services, but not required). Starting salary for this position is $35,130.
