LYN BROMLEY

May 20, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lyn Bromley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and long-time resident of Mount Juliet, Tn. Surrounded by family and love, Lyn (79) passed peacefully on May 5, 2025.
Raised in Clintwood, as the eldest of eight siblings, Lyn played a pivotal role in the upbringing of her family, always there for her sisters and brothers. She moved to North Carolina where she met her cherished husband James “Jim” Bromley, with whom she spent nearly 50 years together. The young couple struck out on their own and relocated with the U. S. Marines, landing in California. There they welcomed their only daughter Beverly, who became their whole world.
To Lyn, beyond Beverly and Jim, hard work and determination were the hallmarks of her legacy. From humble Appalachian beginnings, Lyn and Jim built a prosperous life, successfully venturing into various businesses. Their entrepreneurial spirit led them to success in real estate investments, owning a bespoke cattle farm, multiple dry-cleaning companies (Mr. Best Cleaners), and the establishment of a full-service automotive repair facility, Mt. Juliet's own Auto-Pro.
Lyn’s greatest joy in life was the love of her family. For anyone who knew her, it was clear her world revolved around her daughter Beverly, son-in-law Michael, and granddaughters Jordan and Taylor. In retirement, Lyn and Jim turned their focus to memories made traveling the country in their motorhome. She shared her love through company and food regularly hosting cherished family fish frys and country breakfasts.
Throughout life, Lyn loved playing cards, tending to her birds and plants, and reading. Above all, she cherished spending her time speaking daily with her sisters, close friends, and family. Her absence is felt deeply by all who were fortunate enough to witness her radiant life and feisty spirit.
Lyn’s memory lives on in her loving family, including her daughter Beverly Dunn (née Bromley), son-in-law Michael Dunn; granddaughters, Taylor Dunn and Jordan Joyce (née Dunn); grandson-in-law, Zach Joyce, and her siblings Hawkins (James), Tina (Carol Louise), Sher (Shirley Ann), TJ (Thelma Jean), Charles, and close cousins. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Bromley; mother, Emma Jean Swindell; her brothers, Wayne and Donald (Pinky), and her dear canine companion Kodi.
Honoring her wishes, the family will celebrate her life privately and extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Mt. Juliet Tristar ER, Mt. Juliet EMS, and the staff of the Neurological ICU unit at Skyline Hospital for their compassionate care.
