DORIS FAYE CHILDRESS PHIPPS

Doris Faye Childress Phipps passed away at her home on April 7, 2024 at the age of 87. Doris was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County. She enjoyed gardening, canning, taking care of her family and her home.

Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband Jackie Phipps, as well as her parents Adam and Bessie Childress and her eight brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her children; sons, Danny Ray Phipps (Janie) and Shawn Phipps of Clintwood; daughters, Pam Phipps of Clintwood and Heather Robinson (Steve) of Bristol; grandchildren, Daniel Phipps, Jacklyn Phipps Stallard, Elijah Phipps, Abigail Robinson, Maggie Robinson and Carson Fuller; great-grandson, Blake Stallard and her special dog, Peach.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 10th, 2 p.m. at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Don Hawkins officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m.. Burial will follow in Phipps Family Cemetery, Orchard Drive, Clintwood. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be given at www.clintwoodfuneralhome.com.
