RANDY RASNAKE

Randy Morgan “Razzy” Rasnake, 59, entered the gates of heaven Monday, February 26, 2024, at Pikeville Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was a 1983 graduate of Haysi High School where he excelled at sports. He was a 1987 graduate of Bristol College with a Bachelor of Science. S. Degree in Business Administration where he was an exceptional baseball player. Randy worked in the banking industry for over 20 years. He currently was the manager at the Dollar General Store in Norton, Va. Randy never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lorrine Sullivan Rasnake and a brother, David Rasnake.

Randy is survived by his daughter, Morgan Rasnake of Norton, who was his pride and joy; the mother of his daughter, Christy Fawbush of Norton; two brothers, Danny Rasnake and his wife Mary of Rosedale, and Richard Rasnake of Bee; two sisters, Diana Boozer of Norton and Christine Gilbert and her husband Junior of Bee; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, his Dollar General family and many friends.

The family wishes to thank Pikeville Medical Center for their care and compassion and especially Dr. El Denali and the oncology staff.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Burial followed in the Laurel Grove Cemetery, Norton. Pallbearers were family members.
