County: Two weeks, 27 cases

Dickenson County reported 27 new COVID-19 cases between Jan. 23 and Tuesday.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began increased from 5,571 to 5,598 in two weeks.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 82.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 34 to 7,026 during the same period. Russell County’s total case count increased by 50 to 10,809. Wise County’s case count increased by 71 to 15,834.
