County: 10 new cases

Dickenson County reported 10 new COVID-19 cases between Jan. 16 and Tuesday.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began increased from 5,561 to 5,571 in one week.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 82.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 18 to 6,992 during the same period. Russell County’s total case count increased by 26 to 10,759. Wise County’s case count increased by 27 to 15,763.
