DONALD GARY MULLINS

Donald Gary Mullins, 77, passed away on January 8, 2024 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Donald was born on March 25, 1946 to the late Edgar and Jeanette Meade Mullins of Coeburn.

He was also preceded in death by

two brothers, Sheldon Mullins and Morris Mullins and a brother in-law, Kenneth Mullins.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Reca Mullins; his daughter, Donna (Larry) Fleming of Clintwood; his sons, Gary (Mary) Mullins of Gate City

and Michael (Hannah) Mullins of Duffield. Donald’s pride and joy were his nine grandchildren, Amanda Hodges, Airica Dotson, Nick Dotson, Jacob

Mullins, Greg Fleming, Nathaniel Fleming, Tabitha Wallace, Ruthie Mullins, and Kaylee Mullins. His spirit grew even greater with his 12 great-grandchildren, Kinley Dotson, Karmen Combs, Trinity Hodges, Landon Hodges, Bella Fleming, Grayson Fleming, Michayla Wallace, Brayden Wallace, Christian Wallace, Ariana Wallace, Kylo Dotson, and Gatlin

Dotson. He was also survived by siblings, Scyrethia Mullins, Reta (Robert) Taylor, Landall (Phil) Yates, Ellis (Sandy) Mullins, and Robin (Kevin) Yates, Ronnie Greene, and Teddy Greene, several nieces,

nephews, and cousins.

Donald was the owner and operator of D&K Trucking for many years of his life. He loved spending time with all his grandchildren and all the family. His love of gardening was evident in all the vegetables he grew every year and then helped Reca preserve. He was a devoted husband and father. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Family received friends Monday January 15, 2024 at Mullins funeral home Chapel from 12, noon until 2 p.m. where funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. with Pastor Glenn Slemp officiating. Burial followed in the Davis Cemetery (Ibex Mtn. section) Lyons Fork.
