GEORGE BILLY O’QUINN

George Billy O’Quinn, age 80 of Steve’s Branch passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at his home, with his daughters by his side. Bill was the son of the late Robert and Laura O’Quinn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Nina Merle O’Quinn; two sons, Carlos O’Quinn and Robby Verl O’Quinn; three brothers, Raymond, Calvin and Trinkle O’Quinn; two sisters, Alta O’Quinn and Betty Owens, and his mother and father in-law, Verlin and Vonice Baker. He was last employed as a tiple operator for Carbin Corporation.

Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memories are his daughters and sons in-laws, Jennifer (Benny) Yates and Veronica (Mike) Clevinger; a daughter in-law, Daphene O’Quinn; eight grandchildren, Nina (Roger) Deel, Jesse Yates, Ricky Clevinger, Cassie (Josh) Owens, Tara (Matthew) Mullins, Sara (Brandon) Tegeler, Kara (Tyson) Hamilton, and Isaac (Miranda) O’Quinn; seven great-grandchildren, Warren Owens, Noah and Natalie Mullins, Lucas Tegeler, Carson and Layne Hamilton, and Tate O’Quinn; four sisters, Ella Owens, Kay (Ted) O’Quinn, Faye Flynn and Kathy (Gobel) Lyall; one brother, Danny (Sherrel) O’Quinn; one sister in-law, Edna O’Quinn; his “drop-in”, Nancy Mullins, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the O’Quinn Cemetery, Bee, with Gary Wayne Owens officiating. Grandsons and grandsons in-law will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Yates, Mike Clevinger, Danny O’quinn and Dallas Owens. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
