CLEMON L. JACKSON

Clemon L. Jackson, age 89 of Sandlick Road passed away Monday, December 11, 2023. He was a son of the late Matt and Ida Jackson. He was a member of Big A Mountain Free Christian Church for 50 years where he served as deacon and trustee and was last employed by and retired from the Virginia Department of Highways.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Gloria Jean Jackson and two brothers. He was the last surviving member of his family.

He is survived by two daughters, Rita Kay Jackson and Janet (William) Hardy, a grandson, Matthew Hardy, two great grandchildren Laikyn and Kimber Hardy and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were conducted 7 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Free Christian Church, Big A Mountain with Wayne Baldwin, Mike McGlothlin and Gary Sullivan officiating.

An entombment service was held 11 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2023 at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill with Edward Tiller officiating. Deacons and Trustees of Free Christian Church-Big A Mountain served as pallbearers.
