County reports 32 new cases

Dickenson County reported 32 new COVID-19 cases between Dec. 5 and Tuesday.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began increased from 5,336 to 5,368 in one week.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 73.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 70 to 6,578 during the same period. Russell County’s total case count increased by 52 to 10,443. Wise County’s case count increased by 83 to 15,353.
