County: 39 cases in a week

Dickenson County reported 39 new COVID-19 cases between Nov. 28 and Tuesday.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began increased from 5,297 to 5,336 in one week.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 73.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 37 to 6,508 during the same period. Russell County’s total case count increased by 53 to 10,391.

Wise County’s case count increased by 104 to 15,270.
