County reports 18 COVID cases

Dickenson County reported 18 new COVID-19 cases between Nov. 7 and Tuesday.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began increased from 5,218 to 5,243 in one week.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 73.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 26 to 6,436 during the same period. Russell County’s total case count increased by 50 to 10,206. Wise County’s case count increased by 97 to 14,994.
