County: 12 new cases

Dickenson County reported 12 new COVID-19 cases between Sept. 26 and Tuesday.
According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began increased from 5,125 to 5,137 in one week.
The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 73.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 18 to 6,349 during the same period. Russell County’s total case count increased by 43 to 9,914. Wise County’s case count increased by 27 to 14,640.
