JUDY LAMBERT LOCKHART

Judy Lambert Lockhart, 76, died peacefully at home in Martinsville on September 17,2023. She was born on September 3,1947, in Norton. She was the daughter of the late Charles Haskel Lambert and Lietta Vanover Lambert of Clintwood. Judy graduated from Clintwood High School in 1965. She attended college at East Tennessee State University and graduated in 1969. After college, Judy married her high school sweetheart Fred Lockhart in 1969. They moved to Martinsville in 1970, where they were happily married for 53 years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Fred Lockhart of Martinsville; her only son Todd Lockhart and wife Amy of Bassett; step-granddaughter, Sarah Moore of Fieldale; step-grandson T J Moore of Ridgeway; brother, Danny Lambert and wife Myra of Clintwood; and niece, Natasha Moore and her family David, Rian and Jordan Moore.
Before Judy's health problems, she was an active member of Wesley Methodist Church. She also loved animals and volunteered at the SPCA. Judy was a loving mother and devoted wife. Her kind heart and wisdom will live on forever in the hearts of all that knew her.
The Lockhart family would like to give a special thank you to Amedisys Home Health Care and Hospice of Martinsville. Thanks to all the nurses and administrators who took such good care of her. You will be forever in our gratitude.
Family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Columbus Phipps Memorial Cemetery in Clintwood.
Clintwood Funeral Home is assisting the Lockhart family with arrangements.
