County: 13 new cases in a week

Dickenson County reported 13 new COVID-19 cases between Sept. 19 and Tuesday.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began increased from 5,112 to 5,125 in one week.
The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 73.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 15 to 6,331 during the same period. Russell County’s total case count increased by 28 to 9,871. Wise County’s case count increased by 40 to 14,613.
