LINDA SUE MOONEY

Linda Sue Mooney went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2023. Linda was born and raised in Dickenson County. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Linda always put others before herself and took care of anyone in need. She worked and retired from Dickenson County School system in 2006 after 30 years of being the school nurse at Clinchco Elementary School. Linda was a member of Counts Chapel Church for many years. She enjoyed life and was loved by everyone who knew her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Tina Greene; brothers, Bill Greene, Kermit Greene and Darrell Greene; sisters, Joan Collius, Pauline Edwards and Betty Collius.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years Ron Mooney; son, Chris Boyd and wife Margaret of NC; daughters, Carrie Jakubiac of Tn., Tracey Stanley and Jeff of Clintwood, Crystal Robinson of Tn., and Kim Coleman of Clintwood; grandchildren, Christopher Boyd and wife Jennifer of NC, Sarah Keiger and husband Justin of NC and Gracie Coleman of Clintwood; great-grandchildren, Noah Boyd, Joanna Boyd, Aubrey Keiger and Landon Keiger; brother, Richard Greene and wife Lucille of Clinchco; sisters, Mavis Baker and husband Eugene of Clinchco, Margaret Edwards of Ky. and Shelby Lowe of Dante.

Services were held Thursday, August 24 at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carl Rose officiating. Visitation was from 5 p.m. until time of service starting at 7 p.m. Graveside service was Friday, August 25, 1 p.m. at Counts Chapel Church at Grace Cemetery, Nealy Ridge. Pallbearers were Rick Bolling, Elijah Rasnick, Justin Keiger, Tyler Rasnick, Josh Rasnick, Brian Greene and Wade Collius. Honorary pallbearers were Gordon Deel, Ronnie Rasnick, Eugene Baker, Richard Greene, Jeff Willis, Jeff Stanley and Clynis Phillips. Online condolences may be made at www.clintwoodfuneralhome.com.
