Twelve new cases reported

Dickenson County reported 12 new COVID-19 cases between July 25 and Tuesday.
According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began increased from 4,987 to 4,999 in two weeks.
The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 72.
Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by five to 6,265 during the same period. Russell County’s total case count increased by 23 to 9,740. Wise County’s case count increased by 43 to 14,320.
