DONNA GAIL SAULS BROOKS

Donna Gail Sauls Brooks age 59, went to her heavenly home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Haylene Sauls, a graduate of Clintwood High School class of 1982 and a Southwest Virginia Community College graduate of 1984. Donna was an employee of Clintwood Farm Store for over 30 years, she retired with the Dickenson County Department of Social Services. She was saved February 28, 2012 and was a member of Yates Chapel Church. Spending time reading, gardening, family gatherings with meals, adventures on road trips with the love of her life Willie were her joys, she gave Glory to God who helped her through her illness to now a better home in Heaven. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Buster Sauls.
Survivors include her husband Willie Brooks of Clintwood; two brothers, Paul Sauls and wife Donna and Joe Sauls and wife Cheryl all of Mechanicsville; along with other relatives, in-laws and many friends, which she loved.
The family received friends Tue. Aug. 1, 2023 from 11 a.m. till Service time at 12 Noon with Gary Stanley and Jeff Yates officiating the funeral service. Burial followed at the Yates Cemetery where family and friends served as Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, her request were that contributions be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn., 38105; Yates Chapel Church, 4057 DC Caney Ridge Road, Clintwood, Va., 24228 or Dickenson County Food Bank C/O Dickenson County Dept. of Social Services, attn: Faye Ramey, 1280 Browning Hollow, Clintwood, Va., 24228.
