One death, 11 new cases reported

Dickenson County reported 11 new COVID-19 cases between June 27 and Tuesday.
According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began increased from 4,973 to 4,984 over the two-week period.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by one, from 71 to 72.
Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by one to 6,250 during the same period. Russell County’s total case count increased by six to 9,705. Wise County’s case count increased by 33 to 14,233.
