DIANE MAE ROSE SLEMP

Diane Mae Rose Slemp, age 67, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and was of the Christian Faith. Diane was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt to all her family. Her children were her world.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Bertie Rose; sisters, Teresa Slemp, Ruth Mullins, Judy Arnold, and Shirley Slemp; brothers, Larry Rose and Ronnie Rose, and special nephews, Ricky Rose and Junior Rose.
Survivors include her children, Melissa (Eddie) Rose, Tammy (Kevin) Dotson, Regina Slemp, and Tommy “Tucker” (Celeste) Slemp; grandchildren, Chris Rose, Laken Strouth, Briana Holbrook, Brittany Deel, Kayla Dotson, Zachary Keen, Peyton Couch, Jaycee Lawson, Aiden Slemp, and Ivy Slemp; sixteen great-grandchildren; special nephew and caregiver, Johnny Rose; brothers, Bobby Rose, Wayne Rose, and Scotty Rose; sister, Linda Talley, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with services that began at 2 p.m. with Chris Rose, Eddie Rose, and Tom Slemp officiating. Burial followed in the Mullins-Slemp Cemetery, Tempest Branch section, Coeburn. Pallbearers were Jackie Slemp, Tony Slemp, Zachary Keen, Peyton Couch, Aiden Slemp, Randall Rose, Chris Rose, and Kevin Dotson. Online condolences may be made at www.mullinsfuneralhome.net.
