Four cases reported

Dickenson County reported four new COVID-19 cases between April 25 and Tuesday.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began was 4,940 as of Tuesday, compared to 4,936 one week earlier.
The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 71.
Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by three during the same period, from 6,234 to 6,237. Russell County’s total case count increased by 11 to 9,640. Wise County’s case count increased by five to 14,085.
