Stoney Fayne Fields, age 82 of Bartlick Road, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at his home.  Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of the late Clarence Mack and Helen Fields.  Stoney was a 1958 graduate of Haysi High School, last employed as owner and operator of Stoney Fields Trucking and of the Christian faith. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kennith James Fields; a brother, Earl Fields; a sister, Trula Mae and sisters in-law, Mavis Fields and Patty Fields.

Survivors include his wife Eurabell Fuller Fields; children, Stoney Mack Fields of Haysi, Tina Marie (Kenneth) Stanley of Bee, and Terry Fayne Fields of NC; grandchildren, Melanie (Jeremy) Fuller, Noah Mack Fields, Blake (Layken) Stanley and Kenna Jade Fields; great grandchildren, Chace, Macie, Aubree, Aiden and Avery; and siblings, Joyce Marie Mullins, Barbara Ann (Larry) Owens, Roger Lee Fields, Randall Hank (Teresa) Fields and Wilson Roy (Theresa) Fields all of Haysi, and Tommy (Kim) Fields of Roanoke.

   A graveside service was conducted 2 p.m.  Thursday, April 20, 2023 in the Mitchell-Senter Cemetery, Haysi with Lonnie Fuller officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers.  Online condolences may be sent to
