County sees 19 cases in a week

Dickenson County reported 19 new COVID-19 cases between March 14 and Tuesday.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began was 4,900 as of Tuesday, compared to 4,881 one week earlier.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 71.
Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by nine during the same period, from 6,192 to 6,201. Russell County’s total case count reportedly increased by 26 to 9,557. Wise County’s case count increased by 52 to 14,020.
