Seven COVID cases in a week

Dickenson County reported seven new COVID-19 cases between Feb. 28 and March 7.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began was 4,881 as of March 7, compared to 4,881 on Feb. 28.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 71.
Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 19 during the same period, from 6,173 to 6,192. Russell County’s total case count reportedly increased by 61 to 9,531. Wise County’s case count increased by 27 to 13,968.
