Deputy is honored

County supervisors recently honored deputy Brent Wallace for helping a person injured at the judicial center. Wallace, who provides courthouse security, jumped into action Feb. 7 when an elderly man had a medical emergency that caused him to pass out and strike his head. Wallace began lifesaving procedures. He also is an emergency medical technician and serves on the Haysi Fire Department. PROVIDED BY DICKENSON COUNTY
