Two deaths, 41 new cases

Dickenson County reported 41 new COVID-19 cases in the past two weeks.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began was 4,871 as of yesterday, compared to 4,830 on Feb. 7.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by two in two weeks, from 69 to 71.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases was reported to have increased by 42 in 14 days, from 6,125 Feb. 7 to 6,167 yesterday. Russell County’s total case count reportedly increased by 90 to 9,445. Wise County’s case count increased by 104 to 13,902.
