In loving memory of Thomas L. “T.L.” Justice, age 90, of Rakes Ridge who passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Prestonsburg Health Care Center, Prestonsburg, Ky. Born in Phyllis, Ky., he was the son of the late John and Mexico Chapman Justice. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Mountain View Old Regular Baptist Church, member of Grundy VFW Post 7360 and last employed as a State Mine Inspector.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Pearl Justice; daughter, Sue O’quinn; an infant sister; three brothers, Bryant, Clinton and Hiram Justice; daughter in-law, Linda Justice and his mother and father-in-law, John and Virgie Hess.

Survivors include five sons, Clayton Justice, Jimmy (Rita) Justice, Johnny (Sandy) Justice, Mark (Cara) Justice, all of Birchleaf, and Joey (Robin) Justice, Dorton, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; two sisters, Magadlene Charles, Gay Rene Pardue; three brothers, Roger (Kay) Justice, Ralph Justice and Jeff Justice, and his son in-law, Keith O’quinn.

Funeral Services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Mountain View Old Regular Baptist Church with Elders, Danny Adams, Danny Hurley, James Tackett (Enterprise Old Regular Baptist Church) and Andy Deel officiating. Grandsons served as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers were Cledith Hackney, Charles Osborne, Jack Duty, Darnell Jackson, Ray Yates, Harry Woods, Avery Hackney, and David Conaway. Burial followed in the Mountain View Cemetery on Rakes Ridge where military graveside rites were conducted.

Friends may have called after 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Mountain View Old Regular Baptist Church where an evening service was conducted at 7 p.m. with Elders Jerry Overstreet, Larry Puckett, Robert Osborne and Teddy Honaker officiating, and after 6 p.m.  on January 1, 2023 where an evening service was conducted at 7 p.m. with Elders, Terry O’quinn, Toy Looney, Roger Coleman and Jimmy Dale Sanders officiating.
