County sees 24 new cases

Dickenson County reported 24 new COVID-19 cases in six days.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began was 4,675 as of yesterday, compared to 4,651 on Dec. 27.
The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 65.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases was reported to have increased by 18 in six days, from 6,000 Dec. 27 to 6,018 Monday. Russell County’s total case count reportedly increased by 64 to 9,080. Wise County’s case count increased by 70 to 13,452.
