One death, 15 new cases

Dickenson County reported 15 new COVID-19 cases in one week.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began was 4,651 as of yesterday, compared to 4,636 one week earlier.
The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by one, from 64 to 65.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases was reported to have increased by 15 in a week, from 5,985 Dec. 20 to 6,000 yesterday. Russell County’s total case count reportedly increased by 54 to 9,016. Wise County’s case count increased by 73 to 13,382.
