County: 37 new virus cases

Dickenson County reported 37 new COVID-19 cases in one week.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began was 4,622 as of yesterday, compared to 4,585 one week earlier.
The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 64.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases was reported to have increased by 13 in a week, from 5,954 Dec. 6 to 5,967 yesterday. Russell County’s total case count reportedly increased by 38 to 8,917. Wise County’s case count increased by 29 to 13,261.
