RODNEY JAYE COMPTON CLINTWOOD

Rodney Jaye Compton age 68, passed away Friday, December 4, 2022 at Waters of Bristol in Bristol, Tn. Jaye was a member of Clintwood Methodist Church and a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a 1972 graduate of Clintwood High School and employee for 83 Gas and Grocery for many years. He was a loving son, brother and friend to all.

Jaye was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Compton and Mary Jean Keith Compton and one brother, Allen Compton.

Survivors include his niece, Jessica Compton and nephew, Greg Compton of Maryland; caregivers, sister-in-law, Patricia Compton of Clintwood and Todd and Crystal Barnette of Big Stone Gap; special friends, Bobby Garrett and Wynn Hull; cousins and other relatives.

Family and friends are requested to meet at Temple Hill Memorial Gardens, Castlewood, Thursday, December 8, at 11 a.m. for a graveside service. Services will be conducted by Pastor Gary Stanley.
