NORMA JEAN SENTER

Norma Jean Senter, age 86, of Bristol, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at her son’s residence in Farragut, Tenn. She was born October 31, 1936 in Pardee, a daughter of the late Thomas Rayburn and Mildred Inez Bowman Peery. Norma had lived in Clintwood the majority of her life before moving to the Bristol area in 2011. Her biggest priorities in life were taking care of family and making sure everyone was fed. Norma was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church in Abingdon and formerly of Clintwood United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Enoch Emory Senter; sister, Mildred Blizard; and mother and father-in-law, Omega and Aldo Senter.
Survivors include her son, Terry Senter and wife Lynn; grandchildren, Ryan Senter and Tyler Senter and wife Madeleine; sister, Barbara Shoun; sisters-in-law, Marianne Gibson and Fayetta Senter; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Barbara Farmer officiating. The family received friends from 12 until 1 p.m. prior to the service. Interment followed the service at Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ryan Senter, Tyler Senter, Richard Mullins, Steve Gibson, Joey Gibson, David Dean, Mark Blizard and David Blizard. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Johnson, Jess Wayne Lockhart, and Michael Porter.
