One death, 28 cases reported

Dickenson County reported 28 new COVID-19 cases in one week.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began was 4,436 as of yesterday, compared to 4,408 one week earlier.
The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by one, from 63 to 64.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases was reported to have increased by 26 in a week, from 5,805 Oct. 25 to 5,831 yesterday. Russell County’s total case count reportedly increased by 44 to 8,648. Wise County’s case count increased by 66 to 12,985.
