County sees 55 new cases

Dickenson County reported 55 new COVID-19 cases in one week.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began was 4,388 as of yesterday, compared to 4,333 one week earlier.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 63.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases was reported to have increased by 23 in a week, from 5,771 Oct. 11 to 5,794 yesterday. Russell County’s total case count reportedly increased by 57 to 8,581. Wise County’s case count increased by 164 to 12,853.
