HAYSI

Pinkie Deel Yates, age 70, of Yates Lane, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at her residence.  Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Emory and Cynthia Deel.  She was a homemaker and member of Russell Prater Old Regular Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Clayton Deel, Rodney Deel, and Landon Deel, and 4 infant siblings.

Survivors include her husband, Billy T. Yates; two daughters, Christina (Mark) Deel of Haysi and Charlotte (Russell) Street of Meadowview; four grandchildren, Lukas (Camdyn) Deel and Conner Deel both of Haysi, and Carson Street and Kylee Street both of Meadowview; two brothers, Kenny Deel of Haysi and Osborne (Margaret) Deel of Lebanon, and three sisters, Joyce Yates, Juanita Conaway, and Esterlynn Yates all of Haysi.

Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2022 at Russell Prater Old Regular Baptist Church with Elders Earl Dean Yates, Roger Coleman, Mark Justice, and Denny Deel officiating. Burial followed in the Yates Cemetery, Haysi.  Pallbearers were Mark Deel, Lukas Deel, Connor Deel, Carson Street, Russell Street, Tivis Ray Yates, Derrick Yates, and Jason Deel.  The family received friends after 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, at Haysi Funeral Home where a song service was held at 7 p.m.  Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
