Harry Lee Stanley age 78, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022 at his residence. He was a lifelong residence of Clintwood and a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Stanley was a retired coal miner and loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of the Philadelphia Chapel and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lessie Mullins Stanley; son, Tommy Stanley; daughter, Leslie Stanley; three brothers, Harold, Tommy and Max Stanley and one sister, Carol Sue Stanley.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Stanley of Clintwood; two daughters, Crystal Stanley and Kaylan C. Stanley both of Clintwood; one sister, Janie Phipps and husband Danny of Clintwood; five grandchildren, Rex Fleming, Hannah Stanley, Jordan Stanley, Nathan Mullins and Bryson Rose and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 21, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. with Frank Hall and Gabe Johnson officiating. Family and friends are requested to meet at Clintwood Funeral Home on Thursday, September 22 at 10:30 a.m. to proceed to the Allen Mullins Cemetery, Longs Fork, where a graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
