MARGIE LEE KENDRICK

Margie Lee Kendrick, 82, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Christian and a member of the Church of Christ. Margie was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family and her church.
Margie was born to the late Jethro and Draxie Mullins, a farmer and a homemaker respectively, in Clintwood on May 28, 1938. She married John Paul Kendrick on May 24, 1957 in Lebanon. John Paul and Margie lived in Indiana and California before moving back to Virginia. They raised their four children with love, patience, discipline and humility.
Margie is preceded in death by her husband John Paul Kendrick; her sisters, Shirley Hester, Phyllis Mullins, Pauline Hale and her brother, Jesse Mullins.
Margie is survived by her four children, Shanna Lee Dotson, Pamela Lynn Beasley, Michael John Kendrick and Lydia Ann Deel; sisters, Marcella Mullins and Rosella McFall; brothers, Nelson Mullins and Bill Mullins; her best friend, Margie Childress and her two fur babies, Sasha and Garfield. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margie was kind and soft-spoken lady, and always had time to talk, no matter how busy she was. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator.
A service for Margie will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the Kendrick Cemetery. Tommy Austin will be officiating the service.
