PATTY SUE FIELDS

Patty Sue Fields, age 75, of Haysi, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tn. Born in Dickenson County she was the daughter of the late Audner and Reva Blankenship Mullins. She was a 1970 graduate of Haysi High School. She was the longest serving member of 60 years of the Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church. She was last employed as the Campground manager at the Breaks Interstate Park. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter LeAnn Owens, sister, Betty Mullins, brother Gerald Mullins, and two infant sisters Brenda and Joann.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Roger Lee Fields; two daughters, Pamela Fields and Penny (Richard) Owens, both of Haysi; two grandsons, Seth Fields of Bristol, and Jonathan Owens, Haysi and one sister, Alice Owens of Alton, Al also survive.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church with Danny Sluss officiating. Burial followed in the Mitchell-Senter Cemetery, Haysi. Jonathan Owens, Seth Fields, Richard Owens and friends served as pallbearers The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the church where an evening service was conducted at 7 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
