PARIS NEAL COLLIUS

Paris Neal Collius, aged 82, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 20, 2022, in Southern Pines, N.C. Paris was born to the late John and Mary Wright Collius on January 25, 1940. On August 18, 1962, Paris married Betty Greene. Paris and Betty were married for 56 years before she passed away. Paris was a veteran of the US Army. Paris retired as a coal miner from Clinchfield Coal Company, McClure No 1. Paris loved to go hunting and fishing with family. Paris also took a love for painting later in life. Paris was preceded in death by brothers Johnny Collius, William Collius, James Collius, Jackie Collius, Paul Collius, and Steve Collius.

Paris was a loving dad to daughter, Kathy Collius of Southern Pines, N.C.; loving dad to son, Wade Collius (Teresa), of Claremont, N.C.; loving “Pa” to grandson, Derek Collius (Olivia) of Catawba, N.C.; and loving “Pa” to granddaughter, Megan Caudle (Landon) of Conover, N.C.; and loving “Pa” to great-granddaughters, Arianna, Karolina, and Wynonna Collius of Catawba, N.C. and loving “Pa” to great-grandson, Carter Caudle of Conover, N.C. Paris is also survived by a brother, David Collius of Madison Heights, Mi. and a sister Betty Braem of Warren, Mi. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service to follow at 7 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. Darrell Milgrim will officiate. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with Darrell Milgrim officiating. Entombment will follow at the Counts Chapel Cemetery, Nealy Ridge, Clinchco. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Condolences may be made online at www.mullinsfuneralhome.net.
