TROY O’QUINN

Troy O’Quinn, age 75, of Haysi, passed away, Friday, August 19, 2022 at his home.  Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of the late Ephriam O’Quinn and Nellie O’Quinn Ratliff.  He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army, worked as a coal miner and was last employed as an 18 wheeler truck driver.  Troy was also a Member and Deacon of Greenbrier Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mickie Hale.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Lynn O’Quinn; a son, Troy “T.J.” O’Quinn Jr. and his wife, Becky; grandchildren, Jesi O’Quinn, Tanner (Ellen) O’Quinn, Breanna O’Quinn and Trent O’Quinn; great grandchildren, Kinsley O’Quinn and Emmerson O’Quinn; brothers, Johnny (Christine) O’Quinn and Steve (Dana) O’Quinn and a sister, Vonda Riley.

A Funeral service was conducted 6 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Haysi Funeral Home with Gary Viers and Russell Baldwin officiating. A visitation began at 5 p.m. prior to funeral service.  A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Patton Willis Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
