One death, 45 new cases

Dickenson County reported 45 new COVID-19 cases in one week.

On July 12, the Virginia Department of Health reported a total of 3,556 cases since the pandemic began. As of yesterday, the number had increased to 3,601.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by one, from 51 to 52.
Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 21 in a week, from 5,084 July 12 to 5,105 yesterday. Russell County’s total case count increased by 75 in a week, to 7,332. Wise County reported 11,307 cases since the pandemic began, an increase of 181 in a week.
