County sees 45 new cases

Dickenson County reported 45 new COVID-19 cases in one week.

On June 28, the Virginia Department of Health reported a total of 3,451 cases since the pandemic began. As of Wednesday, the number had increased to 3,496.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 50.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 20 in a week, from 5,014 June 28 to 5,034 Wednesday.
Russell County’s total case count increased by 62 in a week, to 7,185.

Wise County reported 10,989 cases since the pandemic began, an increase of 83 in a week.
