County reports 36 new cases

Dickenson County reported 36 new COVID-19 cases in one week.

On June 21, the Virginia Department of Health reported a total of 3,415 cases since the pandemic began. As of yesterday, the number had increased to 3,451.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 50.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 19 in a week, from 4,995 June 21 to 5,014 yesterday. Russell County’s total case count increased by 31 in a week, to 7,123. Wise County reported 10,906 cases since the pandemic began, an increase of 97 in a week.
