County reports 29 new cases

Dickenson County reported 29 new COVID-19 cases in one week.

On June 14, the Virginia Department of Health reported a total of 3,386 cases since the pandemic began. As of yesterday, the number had increased to 3,415.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 50.

The rate of new case growth is accelerating again.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 13 in a week, from 4,982 June 14 to 4,995 yesterday. Russell County’s total case count increased by 48 in a week, to 7,092. Wise County reported 10,809 cases since the pandemic began, an increase of 170 in a week.
