PAYTON JAMES DEEL

Payton James Deel “PaytPayt”, #forever16, passed away June 3rd, 2022 at Johnson City Medical Center.

He attended Ridgeview High School. He loved his brotherhood of friends, fishing and doing anything involving the outdoors.

Payton was always willing to help or give in any way and the last gift he gave this world is the ultimate gift of life to others by organ donation.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold Deel; maternal grandfather, Bobby Rose, great-grandmother, Athanee Fleming; great-grandparents, J.C. Rose, Alice Rose and one sister Jessica Baker.

Survivors include parents, Natosha and Emmette Deel; borther, Tanner (Cheyenne) Baker; sister, Jaycee Deel; one nephew, Bentley Baker and one niece on the way; grandmothers, Debra “Nanny” Deel, Ida “Nana” Kirby, Ann Rose and Peggy Fleming; Uncle Joey Stanley and Aunt Melissa, Aunt Jessie Breeden and Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Ashley Wilson; uncles, Mackie Rose, Darryl Greer and Jeff Greer; a special uncle, Zach (Necole) Evans and Chris Evans and a host of friends and cousins.

The family received friends Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service that followed at 7 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. Jason Hicks and Tim Mullins officiated. A private burial will be held at a later date at the Garvie Rose Cemetery, Rock House Road, Coeburn.

Pallbearers were Tanner Baker, Waylon Perrigan, Zach Evans, Scotty Stanley, Anthony Stanley, Chris Evans, and Mason Blansett Honorary pallbearers were Emmette Deel, Bentley Baker, Mackie Rose, Jeffery Stanley, T.J. Falce, Hayden Farr.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dickenson County Sheriffs Office, Clintwood Rescue Squad, Dickenson Community Hospital, Dickenson County Behavioral Health, and all of the staff of Johnson City Medical Center. A very special thank you to Ryan from Tennessee Donor Services. we cannot thank her enough for all that she has done during our time at Johnson City Medical Center.
