County officials met June 1 with the Columbus Phipps Foundation director and Board of Trustees at the Bear Pen Recreation Park to see the new sign and all the work that had been done to upgrade the park. ‘They were very impressed with everything that had been accomplished with the grant funding they gave to the county,’ according to Chamber of Commerce and county tourism Director Rita Surratt.
