RAMON “FENNIE” THACKER

Ramon “Fennie” Thacker, age 84 of Big Ridge Road passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at his home.  He was the son of the late Walker and Maxie Raines Thacker Barton. He was a US Army veteran, last employed as a state mine inspector and attended Clinchco Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law Emory and Paradine Perrigan; step-father, Bill Barton; two sisters, Nell Ratliff and Myrtle Presley Parham and three brothers, Frank, Lonnie and Garnie Thacker.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Patsy Thacker; two daughters, Rhonda (Robert) Kiser, Newton, NC and Pam (Mike) Charles, Clintwood; four grandchildren, Austin Kiser, Ayla (Bryan) Canipe, and Keaton and Zachary Charles; one great-grandson, Lincoln Canipe and his sister-in-law, Margie Thacker also survive.

Funeral Services were conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Haysi Funeral Home with Pastor Joseph Fuller officiating. The family received friends after 6 p.m prior to funeral services. A graveside service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the Emory Perrigan Cemetery, Emory Drive, Clinchco. Pallbearers will be Robert Kiser, Mike Charles, Austin Kiser, Keaton Charles, Zachary Charles, and Bryan Canipe. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
