INIS BISE

Inis Bise, age 98, of Mohawk, TN, formerly of Clintwood, passed away Friday morning at home. She was a homemaker and a member of Peuther Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Clintwood. While living in Mohawk, Tn. she attended Mohawk Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Bill Harmon of Mohawk, Tn.; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Janie Bise of Bristol; one grandson and his wife, Teddy and Jenny Harmon; one great-granddaughter, who was the light of her life, Milly Harmon all of Mohawk, Tn.; sister-in-law, Janet Lester of Seymour, Tn., several nieces and nephews and special friend, Jennifer Harmon.

Inis was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Bise in 2005; parents, Ed and Myrtle Lester; three sisters, Gladys Presley, Pearl Reedy, and Nadine Leasure and two brothers, Buddy Lester and Harold Lester.

The family received friends from 4 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.  Funeral services followed at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Chris Franklin officiating.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Peuther Chapel Cemetery in Clintwood with the Rev. Joe Sluss officiating.

Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
