County marks one additional COVID death

Dickenson County has recorded another death and five new COVID-19 cases in one week.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, as of Tuesday, the county reported a total of 3,317 cases since the pandemic began, as compared to 3,312 cases reported April 12.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths increased from 47 to 48.

Nearby, Buchanan County recorded a total of 4,881 positive cases since the pandemic began, an increase of three in one week. Russell County reported a total of 6,849 cases, an increase of 23 in a week. Wise County reported 10,259 cases, an increase of 11 in a week.
