Starlin Coleman, age 88 of Kerry Phipps Lane passed away Friday, March 25,2022 at his home. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Silas and Lydia Deel Coleman. Starlin was a coal miner and of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Velva Oma Colman; a grandson, Billy Moore and siblings, Rosie Davis, Sarah Garrett, Finis, Oliver, Kenny, Joe Willie and Octavia Coleman and three infant brothers.

Survivors include his daughter, Thelma and husband Johnny Ray Moore of Clintwood; grandchildren, Vanessa Lynn (Terry) Ratliff, Amanda Jean (Jonathan) Mullins, Brandon Cole (Patience) Moore, Brittany Moore, Travis Moore and Johnathan Moore and great-grandchildren, Savannah, Holly, Shelby, Zachary, John Ed Dalton, Katelyn, Cody, Chase, Collin, Jaxson, Alivia Star and Chezney.

Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2022 at Russell Prater Old Regular Baptist Church with Elders Andy Deel, Earl Dean Yates and Roger Coleman officiating. Burial followed in the Bart Deel Cemetery, Haysi. Pallbearers were Johnathan Moore, Jonathan Mullins, Travis Moore, Brandon Moore and Terry Ratliff.  Honorary pallbearers were great-grandsons.  The family received friends Sunday evening after 5 p.m. at the church where an evening service was conducted at 6 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
